In 1977, Chantaka Puranananda and his wife, Sylvia, founded Pure Design Concepts, a design and manufacturing company based in Bangkok, Thailand.  Over the decades since, Chantaka has been responsible for the interior design and manufacture of  furniture and textiles for luxury hotels, spas, yachts and private residences in the Americas, Europe and Asia.
 

Chantaka's commissions as interior designer and manufacturer of furniture and textiles have included the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand - Author's Lounge, Historic Wing, Garden Wing, Main Lobby, Le Normandie Restaurant and Sala Rim Naam Restaurant, The Spa at The Grand Hotel Binz, Rugen, Germany, Kami Spa, Rome, Italy, Io Spa, Beijing, China and Trisara Luxury Villas, Phuket, Thailand - Phase 1.

Chantaka was the consultant to world renowned architect and interior designer, Ed Tuttle, on his projects at Amanpuri Hotel, Phuket, Thailand, The Chedi Hotel, Phuket, Thailand and The Sukhothai Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand.  Chantaka was also the consultant to British architect, J.P. Blisset for Chiva Som Destination Spa, Hua Hin, Thailand.  Chantaka manufactured the furniture and textiles for these four projects.
